JULY 2014 JUDGMENT: GEORGIA'S Huge, Unchecked Corruption, Littering “Costs” Citizens, Increasing Ineptness, Disreputability

#4 “worst” Georgia [along with South Carolina, both having the East Coast and South's “dirtiest” public spaces] is now NUMBER ONE in THE USA for HIGHEST CORRUPTION RISK for (overall) State Government Public Service Activities (including Legislature and Agencies), by the non-profit StateIntegrity.Org. This Peach State has outdone rival/mentor Louisiana, Illinois and New Jersey to be in command, of the most incompetent, dangerous regime for State Services Management (including cleaning and protecting public spaces), Ethics Enforcement, Legislative Accountability and Public Access to Information. The corruption came to a well-publicized head earlier this year, with scandalous, highly unpopular actions (citizen shouts of “Hang “em BOTH High”) by the tag-team of Republican Governor Nathan Deal and Democratic Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed (scroll down for pictures) [[ see also http://bigstory.ap.org/article/snow-ice-send-souths-flagship-city-reeling-0 ]]
Proof of the sqalid behemoth's irresponsibility that is distinctly Georgia, is the horribly poor expenditures on environmental protection—just $16.74, per person per year, the fourth lowest amount in America. GA also suffers from having 14+ percent of total population as “profiled litterers” ages 16-25—persons most prone or most willing, to unlawfully litter /dump solid wastes [Misssissippi, Texas has the highest “profile” population percentages for the South, with “best” Florida, the lowest]. Ornery Georgia has yet to enact modern comprehensive recycling and container deposits legislation, partly due to the widespread public corruption, and partly from illicit lobby efforts of anti-Green, pro-illegal littering business interests—notably, Coca Cola, with world headquarters located here. The nations' sixth highest total for vehicle crashes deaths from roadway debris are found here-- an increase from 25 per year (2008) to over 31 persons KILLED (2011) in these incidents across the state. A highly WASTEFUL STATE: EACH man, woman and child in Georgia EACH DAY throws away over 7 pounds of un-utilized items—well above the national average. Atlanta remains TRAVEL+LEISURE’s 5th “Dirtiest American City,” run by pro-illegal littering Mayor Kasim Reed, noted (above article with Governor Deal) for his proficiency in engaging, time and time again, in unlawful, immoral public conduct—much like his Louisiana, Illinois and New Jersey mentors, always eluding filed criminal charges. Lastly, Georgia driver license holder’s can be clueless, remaining among America's feebleminded, on Knowledge of commonsense Littering and other Roadway Laws.
Those very few elected left standing to serve in the General Assembly at Atlanta, with any reasonable, intelligent semblance of pride, character and backbone, face a big, uphill cleanup operation, to rid their once-proud “Empire of the South” from decades-old embracing of ugly, unsanitary, statewide public health conditions and super-highly contaminated, “mutatis mutandis” public service performances.
